December DT Call: Scrapbooker’s Club House

Scrapbooker’s Club House is looking for a Guest Design Team Member for December.

Interested? Here’s what you have to do:

Use scrapbooking supplies to create a Home Decor item in the theme of your choice. Examples of things you can make are framed pictures, altered candles, jars, and album covers.

Take a photo of your finished project upload it to the “December Guest DT Contest” folder in the Scrapbooker’s Club House gallery. Include your name in the title.

The winner will receive a kit from the clubhouse to play with, and post questions and kudos in the forum. The Guest DT member’s term will be from December 1-31, 2008.

Video Class: Family Memories Shadow Box by Leah Fung

Scrapbooks etc. is offering a video class by Contributing Editor Leah Fung.

In this class, you will be making a family photo keepsake using a shadow box. Detailed instructions on “how to use paint, scrapbook supplies, and your favorite photos to transform a plain chipboard box into a family treasure” will be provided in video form and as a step-by-step guide. The video is about 20 minutes long.

Challenge: Photo Album Scrapbook

Using the theme from the new Simple Scrapbooks special issue, Quick and Easy Photo Albums, The Simple Studio is hosting a challenge this week.

For this challenge, you’ll need to create a 12 x 12 or 8.5 x 11 spread using a traditional page and a divided photo sleeve. For an example, head on over to The Simple Studio.

Layouts must be posted to the Simple group gallery by Sunday, November 9, 2008. You have to include “Quick & Easy” (with quotation marks) in the post title. The winner will be chosen next week. .The prize? A desk organizer with scrapbook goodies from Making Memories!
