Cropstar June 2010 Sketches Contest

Create a 12×12 layout, 8×12 layout, 8×8 layout or card using the sketch seen here. One entry per sketch per person. Completed work should be loaded to the Cropstar Sketch and Challenge Gallery at Flickr. Also, please leave a comment (click on one of the sketches to get to the comment section) so they know to check out your work.Deadline for posting your layout to the above stated gallery is June 30, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST.
One lucky winner will receive a fun prize from Cropstar and will be announced on or about July 1, 2010.
Sorry, but they are unable to accept international based applications i.e. Canada, Europe, Australia, etc. at this time.
August Back Porch Memories Guest Designer Call

They”d like to see your layout include a title, photo(s) and journaling. Layouts will be judged by their design team on creativity and best overall design. The winning layout will earn a spot on their team for the month of August, and this Guest Designer will get to work with one of their monthly kits. There will also be a random drawing from all contest entries for a prize.
Rules of their Guest Designer Contest:
1. One (1) layout entry per person.
2. Entry must use the August sketch (on our Message Board under “contests”) and include a title, photo(s) and journaling.
3. Your layout must be NEWLY CREATED for this contest and not posted elsewhere during the contest period. After the contest is over, you can post your creation wherever you’d like.
4. Deadline for entries is July 10, midnight Eastern time (New York City time), so they can announce our winner around July 15.
5. Entry must be uploaded to the August ‘10 Guest Design Team Folder in our gallery (under “contests”) to be eligible.
6. Due to increased international shipping times and our tight due dates, they will not accept international submissions for their Guest Designer contest, with the exception of Canadian entries. Canadian entries ARE still being accepted. If you are not physically located in the the continental United States (or Alaska or Hawaii) or Canada, they cannot accept your submission. They’re continuing to keep an eye on the shipping situation and will reevaluate this rule if it improves.
7. You must not have been a Guest Design Team Member at Back Porch Memories in the last six months. If it’s been over that time period, feel free to enter again.
If you’re chosen as a Guest Designer for Back Porch Memories:
1. You’ll be contacted via a BPM private message, and you’ll be required to accept the position within 3 days of notification.
2. Your photo and bio will be featured in our newsletter and they will need these within a few days of your acceptance.
3. You’ll receive one of the August kits and will be required to complete at least 3 layouts and 1 project (altered piece, card, etc.) with the kit. These must be uploaded to the July Design Team folder in our gallery by August 10th.
4. One of your layouts must be completed and emailed to us by July 31st so it may be included on their site as a “teaser.”
5. You need to participate in the forums by posting a minimum of 5 times a week.
6. You will be assigned to either host a monthly challenge on our message board OR use one of our monthly sketches to complete a layout for their newsletter. This assignment counts as one of their three required layouts.

Your Memories Here is an online paper crafting supply store. Which specialize in products to enhance your creativity. In theirnstore you will find luxurious papers, embellishments that have glamorous sparkle, natural inspiration or whimsical fun.
Whether you are looking for shabby or chic, modern or vintage they have something for you. They also have a blog for inspiration .They are looking for some designers to promote the products.
To be a designer for Your Memories Here you need to have your own blog and will be required to post once a week on both your personal blog and the YMH Designs blog a project featuring products that can be found at Your Memories Here. We also have a face book page and a group on Paper Craft Planet that we’d like you to post to. If you belong to any other forums or message boards and can help spread the word that way, even better! The design team term will be for 6 months (August – January)
What does Your Memories Here have to offer you? How about product samples and product discounts?!
While they can’t afford to give you all the materials for all of your projects (wouldn’t that be nice) They will send you packets of product samples every other month for you to incorporate into your projects to use with your own stash of supplies. They will also offer you a discount on any product you wish to purchase from Your Memories Here.
This call is open to everyone everywhere around the world. Scapbookers, card makers and mixed medium/altered art artist are all welcome to apply.

The call is open from June 19, 2010 till midnight July 11, 2010. They will announce the Design Team on July 18, 2010. Which will give them plenty of time to get out your first package of product samples to you so you can start creating for your posts in August.
Scrap n’ Art Page Calls

Scrap n’ Art is looking for the following for their September/October 2010 issue. Each person who submits a project, which meets their guidelines, whether published or not, will be eligible for a FREE one year subscription to Scrap n’ Art Magazine! Your subscription will be provided once the issue is published. They would love to see your layouts, cards and altered items! Please send us your previously unpublished creations. Think outside the box and show them what you’ve got!
Submit as many projects as you would like to any or all of the categories below:
?Black & White: Some photos sparkle with color. Others shine in the simplicity of black and white. Show your layouts and projects that feature your favorite black and white photos.
?Journal For The Soul: Sometimes it just needs to be said. Share with them your layouts and projects that emphasize journaling your thoughts and heartfelt words.
?It’s Harvest Time: Everything is ripe and ready to be picked! Show them what you have spent the summer tending. They would also love to see the creative way you package or store the fruits of your labor.
?What Scares Me: Goblins, ghosts and witches too! It is that time of the year to get your scare on. Show them what sets your heart racing.
?Seeing Double: Seasons are changing and the kids are going back to school. They want to see your double page layouts that commemorate September and October.
