Afternoon Tea is a new and unique Monthly Kit club – which will be launched in September!

They are currently looking for Scrapbookers, Card Makers, Altered Artists and all-round crafty superstars!! for their permanent Design Team and as Guest Designers. They are accepting applications from the UK and Internationally.

To apply, please send your blog link, a short bio about you, the names of any other DT’s you are on and what areas from the above list you specialise in (or if you’re an all round crafty superstar!) along with your name and e-mail address and a few pictures of your work (no more than 6 please and please make them fairly small JPEGS or similar so our e-mail doesn’t crash!! thank you!) - info@afternoonteasociety.co.uk

The closing date is 15th July – that gives you a little over 2 weeks. They will contact the successful applicants within 7 days and make the announcement before the end of July.

It’s that time again!! They’re looking for a new group of talented design team members to represent the scrappiest in us all.

This call is for a 6 month term and its open to anyone from anywhere.
Design team members are required to complete at least 3 layouts a month using The Scrappiest sketches.

1. Send in 2 of your favorite layouts you have created. (does not have to be new)
2. A short paragraph telling me why you would make a great design team member.
3. A link to your online gallery and/or blog.

There is no compensation for this position but this is a great way for you to get some experience and recognition as well as getting some layouts done. (What could be better than doing what you love, right?)

*Winner will be required to create 4 assigned projects for the month of August 2010. You will be sent a Guest Designer kit to be used on your projects and you will need to turn in good quality photos along with written instructions, according to the assigned due dates.

They”d like to see your layout include a title, photo(s) and journaling. Layouts will be judged by their design team on creativity and best overall design. The winning layout will earn a spot on their team for the month of August, and this Guest Designer will get to work with one of their monthly kits. There will also be a random drawing from all contest entries for a prize.

Rules of their Guest Designer Contest:
1. One (1) layout entry per person.
2. Entry must use the August sketch (on our Message Board under “contests”) and include a title, photo(s) and journaling.
3. Your layout must be NEWLY CREATED for this contest and not posted elsewhere during the contest period. After the contest is over, you can post your creation wherever you’d like.
4. Deadline for entries is July 10, midnight Eastern time (New York City time), so they can announce our winner around July 15.
5. Entry must be uploaded to the August ‘10 Guest Design Team Folder in our gallery (under “contests”) to be eligible.
6. Due to increased international shipping times and our tight due dates, they will not accept international submissions for their Guest Designer contest, with the exception of Canadian entries. Canadian entries ARE still being accepted. If you are not physically located in the the continental United States (or Alaska or Hawaii) or Canada, they cannot accept your submission. They’re continuing to keep an eye on the shipping situation and will reevaluate this rule if it improves.
7. You must not have been a Guest Design Team Member at Back Porch Memories in the last six months. If it’s been over that time period, feel free to enter again.
If you’re chosen as a Guest Designer for Back Porch Memories:
1. You’ll be contacted via a BPM private message, and you’ll be required to accept the position within 3 days of notification.
2. Your photo and bio will be featured in our newsletter and they will need these within a few days of your acceptance.
3. You’ll receive one of the August kits and will be required to complete at least 3 layouts and 1 project (altered piece, card, etc.) with the kit. These must be uploaded to the July Design Team folder in our gallery by August 10th.
4. One of your layouts must be completed and emailed to us by July 31st so it may be included on their site as a “teaser.”
5.  You need to participate in the forums by posting a minimum of 5 times a week.
6. You will be assigned to either host a monthly challenge on our message board OR use one of our monthly sketches to complete a layout for their newsletter. This assignment counts as one of their three required layouts.

To be a designer for Your Memories Here you need to have your own blog and will be required to post once a week on both your personal blog and the YMH Designs blog a project featuring products that can be found at Your Memories Here. We also have a face book page and a group on Paper Craft Planet that we’d like you to post to. If you belong to any other forums or message boards and can help spread the word that way, even better! The design team term will be for 6 months (August – January)

What does Your Memories Here have to offer you? How about product samples and product discounts?!

While they can’t afford to give you all the materials for all of your projects (wouldn’t that be nice) They will send you packets of product samples every other month for you to incorporate into your projects to use with your own stash of supplies. They will also offer you a discount on any product you wish to purchase from Your Memories Here.

This call is open to everyone everywhere around the world. Scapbookers, card makers and mixed medium/altered art artist are all welcome to apply.
