2009 DT Call: Prima Marketing

Prima has issued its official Design Team Call for 2009-2010. All you lovers of these gorgeous paper flowers, take heed! This is your chance to design with these wonderful embellishments for an entire year! And they’re taking international applicants too!

What you need to apply:

• 2 or 3 examples of your current style in the form of cards,altered projects and/or layouts. Each photo must be less than 200k. There is no need to use Prima products on the projects. Projects may have been previously published and/or posted online.
• Your full name and state/country of residence, along with full contact information, including phone number.
• A link to an online gallery and/or resume. There is no need to have been published before. You may be on other design teams.

December DT Call: Scrapbooker’s Club House

Scrapbooker’s Club House is looking for a Guest Design Team Member for December.

Interested? Here’s what you have to do:

Use scrapbooking supplies to create a Home Decor item in the theme of your choice. Examples of things you can make are framed pictures, altered candles, jars, and album covers.

Take a photo of your finished project upload it to the “December Guest DT Contest” folder in the Scrapbooker’s Club House gallery. Include your name in the title.

The winner will receive a kit from the clubhouse to play with, and post questions and kudos in the forum. The Guest DT member’s term will be from December 1-31, 2008.

Challenge: Photo Album Scrapbook

Using the theme from the new Simple Scrapbooks special issue, Quick and Easy Photo Albums, The Simple Studio is hosting a challenge this week.

For this challenge, you’ll need to create a 12 x 12 or 8.5 x 11 spread using a traditional page and a divided photo sleeve. For an example, head on over to The Simple Studio.

Layouts must be posted to the Simple group gallery by Sunday, November 9, 2008. You have to include “Quick & Easy” (with quotation marks) in the post title. The winner will be chosen next week. .The prize? A desk organizer with scrapbook goodies from Making Memories!

DT Call: Life Preservers Scrapbook Club

The Preservers Scrapbook Club has issued a call for new members to its Design Team.

Some of the duties of the chosen Captain’s Crew are:

• be active on the LPS message board
• participate fully in their quarterly online crops, including contributing challenges to those crops
• submit at least 3 layouts/projects per month by the deadline: a 12×12 layout; a layout of another size (8.5×11, 6×12, 8×8, etc.); and a final item of your choice
• contribute on a rotating basis to the newsletters; and host a thread on the message board on a rotating weekly basis
• serve for 6 months, beginning January 1, 2009 and ending June 30, 2009

Benefits include a free basic kit each month. Requirements for submission include three layouts and one project. The deadline is November 30, 2008. The new DT will be announced on December 15, 2008. More information at the Life Preservers Scrapbook Club.

Scenic Route October Guest Designer Jamie Waters

Jamie Waters is this month’s guest designer at Scenic Route.

Jamie’s talent for mixing several patterned papers is put to great use with the papers from Scenic Route’s lines, all 25 of them!

Jamie’s favorite products are stickers and patterned papers, specially from SR’s Providence and Laurel lines.

Caroline Ikeji is Scenic Route Designer of the Month

Caroline Ikeji, a 2008 Memory Makers Master, is the designer of the month for Scenic Route. Caroline, who lives in California, has been scrapbooking for 3 1/2 years. Layle Koncar and the Scenic Route team chose her after she submitted her work to the Monthly Product Challenges of Scenic Route.
