ByIf you haven’t been to Michaels yet to see the new scrapbooking products from Martha Stewart, don’t fret. The website for Martha Stewart Crafts is now online. Check out these 18×18 albums that are among the first to roll out:

Inspired by the heirloom albums found in European library collections, and specifically by a large guest book Martha keeps in her Maine home, this oversized, fabric-covered album makes a versatile memory book and an impressive conversation piece. Post-bound for expandability, it accommodates extra pages of photos, cards, and dimensional embellishments.
* Includes 20 acid-free archivist pages with tissue page protectors
* Inscribable for notations and journaling
* Additional dual-pocket and archivist refill pages sold separately
Available in the following colors: walnut (left image), cloud, persimmon (right image) and black.
What do you think of the size of this album?

Sounds lovely, but the 18×18 format really hasn’t been embraced by anyone BUT Martha, so you’d be stuck using her stuff (if you didn’t like it). Personally, I think they are too much space (I used to use scrapbooks like this as a kid for all the bits I collected), as I now pretty much only do 8 1/2×11 or 8×8. But, I think there is real potential for scrappers who never have enough space
You’re right about there being no other 18×18 papers available except for Martha’s. I know I can’t work on such a big album. I sometimes have a hard time with 12×12! Like you, 8.5×11 is my go-to album size.
I am very excited for this size but really only so I have a place to put all of my professional 10X13 pictures of my kids through their growing years. I hate leaving them in a frame behind the newest picture. If I have an album to put them in, at least they’ll be seen again!
I’m not someone who scrapbooks often, but I was thrilled to find these. I have some large pieces I’d like to include, but I was having a lot of difficulty finding attractive oversized scrapbook albums. I’m thrilled!
I think this format will be great for a wedding album. I am going to get mine tonight. I think the extra space on each page will be great and give you plenty of room for some of the larger pictures
I’ve had my eye on the oversize albums for like… a year! I’m getting married next year, and I want to jam-pack it with photos, trinkets, random stuff and maybe even scraps of some of the bouquets. Ya never know!
I’m excited!
My daughter’s artwork is often 11 X17 so this is a great book for all the things she has made in school. I will probably stick with 12X12 in general, but I think I am going to get at least on MS 18X18 book.
This scrapbook is awesome! I used it for my son’s first three months and it was great. I could use only one page for events which was what I was looking for…I used poster board and cut it down to size which worked lovely! And you can get them at the Dollar tree for 50 cents.
how much are they?
Thanks for the tip, Sherri!
where can I buy extra pages for the 18 X 18 album? do you have them on this site or are they still available elsewhere?
They are selling them at TJ Maxx stores everywhere…..
Maricar,
These are about $80 but if You score one of those 50% coupons from Michaels You can have it for only $40. Thats what I did. This album is awesome! Its my son’s baby photo book! We all love it
I love these albums! I bought one about a year or so ago when they were clearing out the old colors – bought a cream colored one for $30 clearance! All of the papers were on sale, too. And extra page protectors… I went crazy haha! I’m starting on our wedding album now.
I like a clean, graphic design style with lots of white space, and the size of these is perfect for that. I also want to print some pretty big photos since the photographer for our wedding was amazing! This size will accommodate perfectly.
The new colors are DIVINE! I may have to make another purchase
@largescrap Extra pages are sold at Michaels in the Martha Stewart collection.
I just bought three of these at TJ Maxx for $9.99 each. They retailed in some Michael’s craft stores for much more than that… and I LOVE THEM.
These albums are perfect for artwork and digital posters…especially 11×17 event posters that I design. They are a little heavy, so I don’t travel around with them…but they lay on my table in my office and people look through them all the time… awesome stuff.
I am looking for the 18×18 refill pages…..
…and I also bought all of the 8.5×11 books they had at TJ Maxx for $4.99!!! EACH!!!! WHAT A SCORE!!!!!
Any info on where to get the refill pages would greatly be appreciated.
TJMAXX has the cream colored for 9.99!
I bought a cream one at TJMaxx for 9.99, too! I had no plans for it when I bought it & am not a scrapbooker, but thought for the price, I would find something. We are going to use it for a genealogy project. It will make an impressive coffee table book!
If you receive her magazine you have the chance to get a 50% coupon inside for her merchandise. With that said, I found them at my local Marshalls for $10 each. They are cream colored, but who cares, for $10 it is well worth it!!
Found this yesterday at TJM on clearance for $8!!!! reg $9.99. They also had smaller version for $6 and $4. All I can say is AMAZING!!!! I’ve also seen alot of random scrapbooking items from the Martha Stewart line.
I have had two of these for a couple years waiting until I had a free period to organize and complete a huge scrapbook project. (A career collection of memorabilia from a school teacher.) I’ve finally had the opportunity to work on them and I’m really enjoying the size! I didn’t purchase all the Martha Paper that matched the book’s paper size, but it really isn’t a problem. I’m cutting the normal 12 by 12 size paper into frames or creating unique backdrops for the “scraps” I’m becoming pleasantly surprised that I like the size and am seeing the potential for a 12 by 18 book as well… In my normal scrapbooking style, I find that I run my pages by events and tend to need multiple pages to make sure that all family members are included within the event. I seem to need at least 20 pages for Christmas annually, because we have various family and community events that are noteworthy or otherwise worth scrapping. So I can see the potential for having a taller book that could condense the holiday pages into four or five pages would be beneficial! I still like the 12 inch width for putting it on the bookshelf. 18 by 18 is a little too big to be on a standard bookcase or even to be displayed on the coffee table.
Bethany, I’m glad that you’re enjoying it. The product has been discontinued but, as you can tell from the comments here, it occasionally turns up on TJ Maxx.
Can someone pleae email me where i can purchase 18 x 18 page protectors? I need some desperately. I have plenty of the archivist pages but need the other.
