Show and Tell from Making Memories

Making Memories has a new book that’s shipping to stores right now. It’s called “Show & Tell”. I love the idea behind this book. The creators behind it realize that scrapbookers have a lot of stuff, stuff that don’t always get used. This book promises to show us how to get those products out of the stash and use them in new and exciting ways.
The approach for this book was to show LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of ways to use products that you most likely already have in your scrapbooking stash. Show & Tell dusts off classical embellishments and gives them new purpose. The result: beautiful, creative projects that show off favorite pictures, capture journaling, and that beg to be shared.
Each of the book’s nine chapters feature a range of traditional embellishments, and pairs them with projects and how-to’s that put a new twist on its purpose. Glitter, for example, is re-purposed to create a new look for a sheer frame, while rub-ons over flowers add a new look with visual interest to any project.
Learn about the new book at the Making Memories blog this week. Meet the designers and find out how they created the projects featured in “Show & Tell”.

Craft Hideaways from Lisa Bearnson and Becky Higgins
February 24, 2007 by Maricar · Leave a Comment
Cropper Hopper, in partnership with Creating Keepsakes’ Lisa Bearnson and Becky Higgins, created these Craft Hideaways.
Create a custom craft supply center by stacking Hideaways to suit your space. Store, organize and easily access tools, embellishments, ribbon, photos and more. The stackable Craft Hideaways connect with hidden magnets to secure your structure. Each Hideaway drawer features a label holder and a blank label for quick identification and retrieval of supplies.
The system, which fits inside the Crafter’s Cube, includes the following:

Party Stamps from A Muse Artstamps
A Muse Artstamps is a stamp company that offers a variety of great designs. I decided to source out some stamps that would be great for a party theme. Here’s what I found:
Party flags (2.5″W x 1.25″H); Balloon (75″W x 1.25″H); and Balloon bouquet (1.5″W x 2″H):

Tiny gift (75″W x .75″H); Present bl (2.25″W x 2.5″H); and Gift thank you (1.25″w x 1.5″h):

Crate Words from Crate Paper
Crate Paper has these new rub-ons with classic and simple words for expressing yourself in your scrapbook pages. These are Crate Words, in four sets: My Family, Descriptions, Sentiments and Holly.
